WEC Energy Group 107th St Security Upgrade
LiveWire Construction was contracted to upgrade the complete security systems within the following subsidiaries: Peoples Gas & Light (PGL), North Shore Gas (NSG) and WEC Business Service, LLC (WEC). This project includes (7) facilities consisting of branch circuiting for new power and low voltage security systems, surveillance, access control, & intrusion detection. Demolition of old indoor and outdoor infrastructure occurred to upgrade facilities, new exterior high security vehicle gates and barrier arms were installed along with high security fencing. New concrete curbs, bollards, foundations and asphalt paving were also site upgrades part of the project. Landscaping restoration was performed to keep the existing site looking better than it was found. Installation of new hollow metal frame doors & hardware were installed interior to the facilities. All systems were commissioned and integrated with the client's existing security platforms. All work was done while the owner continued operating their facilities with minimal disruption.
BP DSM 5k Expansion
Royal DSM is a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials. DSM delivers innovative solutions that nourish, protect and improve performance in global markets such as food and dietary supplements, personal care, feed, medical devices, automotive, paints, electrical and electronics, life protection, alternative energy and bio-based materials. In Naperville, Illinois, at the BP Research campus, LiveWire was hired to construct a 500 square foot building shell addition for the expansion of one of its feed additive production facilities. In the role of GC/CM on this project, LiveWire managed and/or self performed all excavation, concrete foundation work, backfill, steel erection, insulated siding, roofing and miscellaneous metals disciplines.
