Jardine Water Purification Plant—the world’s largest conventional water filtration facility—located on Chicago’s lakefront at 1000 East Ohio Street. Valued at $10,476,567, this complex infrastructure project required LiveWire’s team to procure, install, and manage a long-lead electrical equipment package essential to keeping one of the nation’s most vital water treatment plants operating at full capacity.
Situated on Chicago’s Near North Side along the Lake Michigan shoreline, just north of Navy Pier, the Jardine Plant treats up to 1.4 billion gallons of water per day and supplies clean, safe drinking water to approximately 5 million people across Chicago and 120 surrounding suburbs. Any disruption to its electrical infrastructure could impact the water supply for a significant portion of the region—making reliability, precision, and on-time delivery non-negotiable.
